Santa Monica Police Detectives and forensic specialists are investigating a homicide in the alley near the 1100 block of 6th Street, following the discovery of a male victim who was found deceased from an apparent stab wound on Friday, September 6, 2024. The Los Angeles Coroner's Office took custody of the body around 12:30 p.m.
Several neighbors in the area reported hearing a blood-curdling scream at approximately 2 a.m., raising concerns about the nature and timing of the incident.
According to the Santa Monica Police Department, the victim is believed to be homeless. No suspect is currently in custody, and authorities are appealing to the public for assistance in identifying and locating the individual(s) responsible for this tragic crime.
